The Comet HD-5NMO is a heavy-duty adjustable NMO lip mount built for operators who need a durable, no-drill mounting solution for mobile antennas. Designed around Comet’s rugged RS-840 style bracket, the HD-5M works well on hood lips, trunk lids, hatchbacks, SUVs, and truck bed edges while providing a stable mounting platform for NMO antennas used on ham, GMRS, scanner, commercial, and public safety radio systems.
Its multi-angle adjustable design allows the antenna to be positioned properly on a wide range of vehicle body styles, while the included 16'6" low-loss coax assembly makes routing to the radio straightforward. A flexible thin coax section near the mount helps the cable pass through weather seals more cleanly with reduced risk of pinching, leaks, or wind noise compared to standard coax assemblies.
