Walcott CB Sales and Service opened for business in Walcott, Iowa. Our location near the World's Largest Truck Stop on I-80 — the second longest interstate highway in the US — made perfect sense for serving truckers.
We outgrew our one-room shop and expanded into Gramma's Kitchen restaurant building. Added dedicated technician repair center, expanded sales floor, and shipping department. Became known as the nation's largest CB radio repair and sales store.
Moved to our current location — a renovated Hardee's restaurant building. With more space, we expanded into HAM radio transceivers, antennas, dash cameras, GPS, police scanners, car stereos, and trucking electronics.
We expanded our installation, service, and shipping operations to meet growing demand. Added more expert technicians and expanded our in-store installation bay for professional radio installations right in the parking lot.
Our name officially changed from Walcott CB to Walcott Radio to reflect our expanding line of communication products — including HAM radios, GMRS radios, business band radios, and more. Same family, same expertise, broader focus.
Opened a dedicated shipping warehouse with expanded personnel and capacity. Now shipping 99% of orders same-day for even faster delivery to customers nationwide.
