The Comet HD-5M is a heavy-duty adjustable lip mount designed for mobile antennas using a UHF-style antenna connection. Built around Comet’s rugged RS-840 mounting platform, the HD-5M provides a strong no-drill mounting solution for hood lips, trunk lids, hatchbacks, SUVs, and truck bed edges while supporting a wide variety of mobile radio antennas.
Its multi-angle adjustable design helps simplify antenna positioning on different vehicle body styles, while the included 16'6" low-loss coax assembly makes routing to the radio clean and straightforward. A flexible thin coax section near the mount allows the cable to pass through weather seals more easily while helping reduce cable pinching, leaks, and wind noise.
