A: An ideal CB antenna is around 8-9 feet tall, but for most practical applications the best realistic length is around 6 feet.
A: This is a measurement of how much power the antenna can handle. The wattage rating should be at least as much as your radio is outputting.
A: CB Antennas are tuned to the vehicle they're installed on. You need an SWR meter like the SWRKIT, or a built-in meter on your radio to tune an antenna.

A: For standard installations you need the antenna, a mount, and the coax cable. If you purchase a bundle, or magnetic antenna, all of these components are usually put together for you.
A: For single antenna installations you can use any length between 1ft and 30ft. For dual antenna systems, you want to use a co-phase 75 ohm dual coax that is 18ft per side.
A: A perfect 1/4 wave CB antenna is around 9 feet long. This type of antenna is just a stright piece of metal without coils. For all other shorter antennas, they need to electrically act like they're this length, so a coil is needed to simulate the 9 feet.
A: No, aluminum is a perfectly reflective surface and works without a problem offering a ground plane like a steel body. The only limitation is you are unable to use magnetic antennas on aluminum bodied vehicles
A: These antenna systems are used on fiberglass bodied vehicles. Commonly the best solution for an RV due to a lack of metal mounting areas. If you are mounting your antenna braket to a metal surface, you should not need an NGP antenna.
