How does the clarifier work?

The clarifier has an on/off toggle button which can disable the clarifier from working. Push the clarifier button to enable the use of the clarifier knob. When turning the knob, you will be adjusting the receiver frequency only, the transmit frequency is unchanged regardless of where this knob is set.

Quality built Base station:
I bought the Galaxy DX2547-G For Christmas, I ordered the Peak Tune-up to be included. I have been very happy with the operation of my Galaxy base station. I also ordered an Astatic desk mike. I am running the base radio with only the watts it came with and the wattage allowed by FCC. I am running a Maco Shooting Star beam antenna with a CDE HAM Rotor, at a height of 65 feet, and SWR at 1.1. If I can hear a good signal on either SSB or AM, during skip conditions, there is an 80% chance I will make a good contact with that person, i am doing this nation wide on the set up I have, and have received comments on how good the Galaxy DX2547-G and Desk mike sound. Local communication during no skip is very good also. If you buy this CB base station you will not regret it. I also recommend the Astatic desk mike for a finishing compliment to and for the radio. When listening to, and reading the mail, I use a vertical Dipole, and then the MACO beam and Rotor to focus in on the signal. I am an old CBer from the 80 and 90's and I'm enjoying it again.
