The new DX 2517 Base Radio replaces the DX 11B. However, it is not simply an upgraded DX 11B. The DX 2517 does not have the familiar main PC board used in the DX 11B and all of our mobile radios. This is the first model using the next generation main board. A great choice for 10 meter SSB use without breaking the bank.

Have been in CB since the 70s and its my favorite radio hobby. Have had some good base radios for sure, The 2517 is the best base station of the present base radios out there right now, It talks real well on AM & SSB, hears real well on SSB and very good on AM.( It hears all the stations out there). It stays on frequency great on SSB & AM. The meters are very accurate. This radio just plan talks! The first day I got it, talked a flat 100 miles from Sun City AZ to Sodona AZ to a friend in a mobil and it was not skip, and it looks real good in the Shack. ***** for sure! Oldtimer
