Technical Details

PRO505XL - You don't need to spend a lot to get a lot.

This powerful little package comes with a sleek and minimalist exterior. It takes a slight break from the traditional appearance of chrome and knobs and replaces it with an easy-to-read backlit display and buttons for channel surfing. The straightforward graphic on the display shows you your receive and transmit signal strengths at a quick glance, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road. Squelch is included to help weed out undesirable signal strengths and static noise. Like the Uniden 520XL, it too has the option for a PA feature. The compact nature of this radio means that it does not have ANL though. The Uniden Pro505XL makes for a nice radio for the beginner or someone just trying to keep their ears on the world.

Compact and very easy to use.No weather function or SWR meter means this radio is basic, does the job, but doesnt offer anything beyond that.Essentially the same radio as the Uniden PRO510XL except with a much larger, easier to see display and more modern appearance.
