The all new Texas Ranger TRE compact CB radios will fit into any standard CB opening, cubby, or console that's designed for the standard width of 7 5/16" - the same width as a Cobra 29. Featuring an all black faceplate and case, with subtle dimmable white lights. Built-in talkback, and Roger beep and a variable RF power control.

The best AM only radio PERIOD!!!

I purchased a Texas Ranger TRE-292 and have had it in my truck for one full night of driving so far. I had really high expectations because of all the praise these radios have gotten online and I have to admit. It is already my most favorite radio I have used so far. (Own 2 10meter radios and now 2 11meter radios) It has all the features I wanted in a basic AM only radio. Everyone I have spoken with on the radio so far, have said that I sounded great and it has killer receive too! Talkback works great, nice and loud. The mic it comes with sounds great too. No need to change it out. The dim switch is awesome. I run it on low because I'm a 3rd shift truck driver. Any higher and the LEDs bug me. The tone control is basically a Hi-Cut filter and works so good! The meter is super easy to see and read in any light condition. For a basic AM radio there isn't anything better than this. No doubt about it. Im not a huge fan of Roger beeps but I decided to turn it on and it does getting annoying if you're talking a lot but I had one driver tell me he liked it a lot and asked me what radio I was using. This thing with their Power & Performance Peak is ready to go right out of the box. I don't see myself ever using another radio for AM ever again. Literally debating buying another one just to keep in the box just in case. 73.

Best radio I've ever had!

I got this a week ago and it's already tug free best radio I've ever owned. I've had magnums, various cobras, Royse,Ranger freedom one(for the last 22 years) etc and this out performs them all. Not the most powerful I've owned, my S680 wears that crown, but this 28 watter runs smooth as silk. JW did a great job on my tune and I appreciated the paperwork included.

so far this radio works grate had echo package instaled sounds good, its not a 10 meter but it does the job, would recomend it.
