Thoroughly impressed with this little antenna. I put one on my wife's car a little while back. Running it with a 980ssb. It talks plenty good around town but wasn't sure about any distance ...UNTIL today. She was headed to her mother's house about 40 miles away. I was very pleased to find that I can talk to her for the first 13 miles. She did have elevation on her side as she was traveling into the mountains, and my groundplane is 35ish feet up. A buddy was headed opposite direction in his mobile and said he could tell when she talked, but couldn't understand her. I could carry on a conversation with her from my base. I am going to purchase some more of these for other family members that don't want large antennas on their rigs.
