With a lightweight, low profile base and 62" whip this antenna is designed with performance first and a lightweight low profile footprint second. With an added benefit of a 90 degree rotation on the whip holder, this means you can install this magnetic antenna on a non-even surface and then correct the angle of the whip to get everything vertical.

WORLD WIDE SIDEBAND DX . HOLY COW.

I talked to Australia with this antenna on my HVAC package unit on channel 38 LSB. My unit is on top of my house with a MFJ 272 lighting arrestor with 30' of extra coax. I have talked to San Francisco and NC . A.M. is great with this antenna but nothing over 4 or 5 miles barefoot. I live in New Mexico and I've been having an absolute blast. This antenna came perfectly tuned. The magnet could be a bit stronger. The k30's magnet is stronger. Pair this antenna with a President McKinley and your good to go.

Powerful antenna !

I have a President Randy 2 AM/FM/NOAA CB handheld radio. The stock antenna is fine for NOAA weather stations but the CB reception was disappointingly quiet on the 40 channel AM/FM bands. I got a New President Virginia antenna for my vehicle which worked better but still pretty quiet on the road. I was a teenager during the late seventies and CB radio rocked at that time.
I called Wolcott Radio Tech support about a better antenna and ended up buying this 62” MLA145. I placed the antenna as high as possible on my metal roofed carport and adjusted it to the vertical position. Wow! The reception improvement was exponential! . The radio came alive with activity throughout the AM Band!
I am very pleased with this product and the Tech support from Walcott. Tks
