NRC: Noise Reduction Circuit: Eliminate background noise!

The DIGIMIKE is here! President now offers a new 6 pin microphone with an NRC (Noise Reduction Circuit) to make your modulation as clear as can be by helping to eliminate background noise. Unlike other noise reducing mics the level of reduction in the digimic is adjustable so you can fine tune the filtering to your liking. Holding down the center button at the top of the mic allows you to select between 5 different NRC levels with the channel up and down buttons. Another thing that sets this microphone apart from other noise cancelling mics is you don't bring the mic all the way to your lips. It should be held at least 4 inches away for optimal levels. Works great with VOX function if your radio offers it.

Can this microphone be re-wired for 4pin radios?

No. The digimic is designed for 6-pin President (and similar) radios as these radios provide power to the microphone. 4 pin radios do not send power to the mic, and as such this microphone would not work on anything it's not designed for.

Clear sound with right gear setup

They tell me I should make noise about liking it.

Pro: It is a big heavy mic that feels like a mic should: It does everything as good as the stock mic.
Con: I can't say it does anything more then 2% better then a stock mic. Setting for off to level 5 noise canceling is easy to set and stays were you set it. Hooked it to a President Ronald base station. Fed it to the outboard speaker and set it as a PA speaker and even with the noise canceling set to a max level 5. My wife upstairs came trough totally clear into the PA audio telling me I should get a job and quit spending money on stupid things. It is now hooked to a president Bill in the car with noise canceling set to max 5. Replaying a dictating machine listening to transmissions from the car to the base. The only thing it did cancel was heater blower noise. I swear it is still picking up the yelling of the wife.
Noise canceling mics only pickup sound next to them. This one will delete low level white noise. But you don't need to kiss it to talk. My wife says no kissing or talking anytime soon.
