The President Randy radios have been a big hit, and now you can get even more out of it without being cumbersome. This innovative design folds in half so it's easy to store it in a backpack or glovebox. When you need to use the antenna remove the strap and it pops open to it's full size. The TNC connection is compatible with all versions of the Randy radios. Does not receive NOAA weather stations

Works great!
I got this antenna to go on my Randy II for better TX & RX, I just received it today (11/30/23) and put it to the test and yes it performs very well and just as good as the original antenna that is provided with the radio, I read that the WX doesn’t work with this antenna but I just want to let you all know that it does work for the WX channels on my RANDY & RANDY II, WX channel 2 is coming in loud and clear.

This is a good upgrade for the randy.
I like the president Randy and it worked well with the standard antenna. But I wanted to get more distance from it. This is a upgrade over the stock antenna. I got reports of a 1 S gain with this antenna over the stock antenna. I gave it 4 stars because I got a telescopic antenna and it performed even better than this one. It is not flexable like this antenna and that can be a issue for some. The stock antenna and this antenna both seem to work with the weather channels. I tried a longer rubber ducky antenna and it didn't perform as well as the stock antenna did and it was really bad pulling in the weather station's. I just wanted to add that in incase anyone else cares about the weather stuff. It is definitely worthwhile getting this for your randy.
