Maco's Alpha V58 is a highly efficient, omni-directional base station antenna that provides outstanding performance. They're designed for use on CB (11 meter) and 10 meter bands with a field adjustable frequency ranger of 26 - 33 MHz. The 5/8 wavelength helps provide higher gain and increased distances over a 1/4 wave antenna. Rated at 5000 watts. Bottom section accepts 1-1/4" masts
The antenna works well (using an antenna tuner) on the following HF band, 10m, 11m, 12m, 15m, 17m, and 20m. I also us it on 40m however, with diminishing results still covering all of north and central America.
If you are on budget or space limited and have Ham license the antenna is a good compromise and will get you on the air as it handles legal limit power output.
