Maco Antenna's BA1 is a 1/2 wave base antenna designed to be installed onto a balcony or railing making it idea for the operator who has limited space or cannot have a permanent installation. They include elements for 10 meter (206" long) and 11 meter (210" long), once assembled overall length is about 18' depending on the element.

The BA1 comes with a 6' long mounting tube that can be attached to a wooden beam or wrought iron balcony using the provided U-bolts.

These antennas use the same tried and true Maco gamma system that comes standard on their other beam antennas.

Best 1/2 wave made!

Excellent half wave antenna bought mine a few months back, I set it up vertical I don't have it up very high yet but still works great... I've made several long ground wave contacts in the 100 mile range on AM, as the crow flies... Talked to many skip contacts all over the US... I've owned several Amtrons 99s in the past & still own one I loaned to a family member and in my opinion this antenna is far superior!

Great half wave!

Easy to assemble, preforms fine. Worked Ireland and Alaska from nw Illinois on 40w sideband in decent conditions. Mine is 20ft up and 5 feet out from the house so less than optimal setup. It recently survived. 35" of ice in 40MPH winds and still made Yellowknife.
