This CB antenna package was designed to attach under the hood to the fender utilizing an existing bolt so no drilling is required. Works on both driver and passenger's side. Bundled with the mounting bracket is a CL36 metal whip CB antenna that's the perfect blend of performance and durability. You also get a 12' coax cable with removable PL-259 connector to make installation a breeze.

Easy setup on Ford Bronco Sport

I set this up on my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. It was very easy to install. I routed the antenna cable through an existing plug in the firewall above the pedals on the driver side. I just made a small hole in the center of the plug and pushed the cable end through. I had to trim a little bit off the top part of the antenna whip to adjust SWR. Used with President Bill II FCC, which fits well in the dashboard pocket under the screen. Always get good clear signal and audio reports back from other drivers. The antenna waves around a bit in the wind, even at ~55mph and moreso at 70mph. I tied a length of paracord above the center coil and then tied this to the side view mirror. I pull this down with my left hand to go into parking garages without wacking the ceiling. Installed it almost looks like a standard FM radio antenna.
I moved the antenna to my 2012 Honda Accord recently using a similar generic fender mount (Firestik MK174) in a similar place and get a good 1.1 SWR there too without even yet adjusting the antenna for the new install. Same setup with the paracord too.
