RCI-X9 - Compact But High Powered 120 Watt Radio With A Classic Look And Feel.

Introducing the newest compact, high powered 10 meter radio from Ranger. The all new RCIX9 that boasts an incredible 120 watts PeP while maintaining a very small chassis size. Any driver who has to deal with a radio cubby or opening designed for a Cobra 29 now has a new super high powered option that will fit in your truck!

Compatible with ANY semi truck radio cutout! Unlike other compact 10 meter radios, the X9 uses an all new internal fan design. This means there are no heatsinks sticking out of the back of the radio. Rather, on the bottom of the case there are two 3.17MM fans blowing out of the bottom. Ideally, you will want space below the radio for the fans to exhaust heat.

Massive output power with a 20 watt carrier and 120 watts modulation, this tiny beast will get you heard over long distance. Ranger has managed to pack all of the popular features most people want in a modern 10 meter radio. SWR meter with auto-calibration. Color changing faceplate with soft LED lights that are dimmable. Single sideband. Lots of power. Echo and talkback. And you get all of this while still only measuring in at 7.25" wide!

Due to the high power output, this radio requires at least a 25A power source. In vehicles, this means you need to wire this radio directly to the batteries. The stock power source provided is not sufficient.

Top of the line
I just finished installing my second x9. My first one I purchased about 2-2.5 years ago. It was still fairly new to the market with no reviews anywhere. After 2.5 years I’m happy to say that ranger absolutely blew it out of the water with this one. The x9 packs a serious punch for a smaller radio. I work in the logging industry in northern Maine and being able to reach out long distances clearly is a must. I walk on people with this radio all the time. The quality is amazing and have not had a single issue. That’s why when I needed a radio in my new work truck I knew I exactly what I was ordering.

Nice Radio
When I received the radio I mounted it and connected it to a 4’ Firestick. The SWR adjusted 1.2 ch 1 and 1.3 ch 40. The total installation and setup took about an hour and when asking friend for a radio check the mike response was not stellar. Paired the radio with an Astatic D104M6B Mobile Power Mike to solve modulation issue. My voice is Baritone to Tenor and the stock mike didn’t handle it well. With the current setup I am skip talking worldwide i.e. UK, Jamaica, British Columbia…. Extremely satisfied with product and a special shout out to my friends at Walcott Radio. The service has been excellent.

This is an affordable radio if you do not want to fool with a linear want to have a good base station a limited space and just all-around works very well sounds great a very versatile radio to own you can still drive a linear if you wish
