Important notes on power output
|
---|
Measuring power output will vary depending on many variables. Our default test-setup consists of a 14-volt power supply, 50 ohm dummy load, and Bird wattmeter reading PeP (peak envelope power). If you are using different equipment, measuring RMS instead of PeP, or have an SWR reading different that shown, you may have different results. The following chart shows an example of power readings for this radio with changes to measurement variables. Final note, the Dosy meter referenced below is directly affected by the SWR readings in the antenna system. You may notice huge differences in power readings from subtle changes in SWR.

President Lincoln Base Station Package Reviews
I have the same exact setup
I have the same exact setup. Im srry i did not purchase my radio coax or power supply from walcott but I did buy my Antron 99 from them and I would recommend buying from walcott, they do good business. I came to walcott after purchasing a proton 99 from amazon that i could never get the swr below 2. So i decided I would never buy anything from amazon again and that I would purchase my next antenna from a reputable radio shop. I found walcott and they are my new go to. I purchased an antron 99 from them and put it and didnt have to adjust for swr it was 1.2 out of the box. To get the point I have a lincoln 2 plus 50ft rg8 coax and the antron 99 and I get the same results that are in the details for this setup. I talk all over the world. This setup works great and it would be a great starter setup for anybody looking to get into the hobby and get a base setup going. I hope this helps.
