If you're upgrading from an existing antenna system and need an NMO mount, or if you want to put together a setup and need the NMO mount with coax. This cable will work. Most NMO cables require a 3/4" hole or larger, this cable and mount only needs a 1/2" hole. Why does this matter? If you already have a fender mount for a CB antenna and decide you want to use a HAM radio antenna instead, this mount will take the place of your CB coax and stud without you changing the mount.

Handy but.....

I bought this mostly due to the smaller hole size of on the center NMO shaft to fit my jeep tailgate bracket. Perfect non standard option for me. The big but is that the special modular PL259 on the radio side has a poor center conductor connection inside the combo or the bad wire connection to the internal adapter on the wire end. SWR can go from 1.1 to 4 with a jostling of the coax near the radio/ meter end. I am about to clip it and replace it with a standard PL259.
