Plastic teeth on bottom of mount grips into your vehicles carpeted floor without requiring you to drill into anything. Your radio mounts on top with your radio's mounting bracket. If you do not have your bracket, or need another, you may choose one to the right.

I have on of these in my company van. It has served me well and hold 2 radios on it ( 1- CB and 1-Ham).
Pros:
Easy to mount radio on to.
Speaker sound is very good.
After 2 years + of service, shows no signs of wear or tear.
Can be removed easily.
Cons:
Unfortunately, it does collect dust and required cleaning (small inconvienience)
isn't as secure as a permenantly mounted CB - theft!
Overall, if for some reason it had to be replaced, I'd get another one in a heart beat!
