This noise reduction mic is LOUD! The Astatic RD104E Road Devil Microphone features a high gain amplifier with electronic equalization to provide maximum talk power and intelligibility even under noisy conditions. The Road Devil is a VERY powerful microphone. Pleas use diligence when setting the gain control to avoid any unnecessary feedback. The Road Devil Amplifier and six wire cable make it compatible with all modern radio transceivers. The Road Devil requires a standard 9-volt battery.

Battery with wires upside down in mic

Just purchased a new power mic, red devil, paid the extra to have them install a battery and align mic. Could not press the ptt button, upon further inspection, battery was installed upside down with wires in the way of button. I hope in the future their techs pay closer attention to detail. I plan to purchase more equipment from Wallcot. This mic was $60 bucks. Also notice the modulation was not as good as the other astac mics.

I've been using one of these for years.

I've been using a road devil mic since I got the first one in black. I have my original one yet, and I purchased 2 red ones so I can have them on all my radios. They just seem to work the best for my voice. I have tried many different mics and I keep coming back to this one as my favorite.
