Buy it. Plug it in. Enjoy. How simple is that? This Mic will perform again and again without fail. Traveling through Iowa, she goes through all the extremes of cold to hot conditions and I have never had a failure. Whether you are starting up cold at 40 below or hitting the road at 100 above. Hands down, this is the Mic to use. Mine is used on a Cobra "29" series and makes one helluva upgrade from what Cobra gives you as a stock Mic.

This mic is really really good. whatever version of the 636 you get you got your monies worth! I have mine on my TR-966 Texas Ranger and people all over that I talk to go "Damn you got a nice sound to that radio."
I know it's not my voice, it's radio and more so over the mic. I've had mine now for about 5 years and use it everyday for hours, and had no problems with it.
