Covering HAM Radio, GMRS, FRS, Marine and other services between 136-174MHz and 400-490MHz

By default, this radio is designed for GMRS frequencies in the US. To expand the frequency range, you need to perform the following procedure:

1. Connect radio to 12VDC power source
2. Power radio off
3. Hold V/M button, power radio on
4. Press UP/DOWN button on front of radio to select the radio's mode of operation.
5. Turn radio on/off

Please note this radio is only approved for FCC operation on GMRS frequencies. The above procedure will prohibit this radio from being FCC complaint for transmissions within the US, only perform the above if you live outside the US or if you plan on listening to the other frequencies only.
