The Firestik Advantage
The "FS" antennas are 100% American made with 100% American materials. To maintain a balance between flexibility and ruggedness, we use a custom blended, glass fiber reinforced shaft. Each is wound with heavy insulated copper wire to prevent the oxidation and shorted windings often found on non-Firestik antennas.
The tunable tip mechanism is made from rust-proof brass and has a rubber o-ring to hold the adjuster in place after tuning. Our 3/8"-24 threaded base has a tapered contact point that works especially well with Firestik mounts and accessories.
The tapered "lug-nut" effect transfers stress away from the threads and reduces the possibility of vibration induced loosening of the antenna in its mount. Each antenna is covered with a static reducing, water-tight sleeve containing UV and pigment stabilizers. For peek performance we recommend that you use one of our 18-foot Fire-Flex coaxial cables with these antennas.
All "FS" series antennas are factory bench tested for resonant frequency and overall quality. And don't forget, ALL antennas, regardless of style or manufacturer, MUST be tuned after installation on the vehicle. Transmitting antennas are not "plug-n-play" devices.
I recently ordered a mic from you. The process was very simple. You had what I wanted. I recieved my order VERY quickly. I am a ham operator and have shopped most of the major dealers and no one has handled my request as fast as you did and at a reasonable price. This is all mentioned as my needs sometime become quite expensive. To cut to the chase, I will shop you first from now on for my radio needs-- Billy W.
I'm just stunned at the outstanding service I've experienced with Walcott. As you advertised I actually got to talk to a breathing person who correct a slight mistake I made in my order. I mean within minutes it was correct with a very polite gentleman. I panice at times when I have a cyber order problem due to the difficulty of talking to a live person. You have taken it to a different level. My IMAX 2000 went out the same day. I will be back...........Thank you for being there.-- Edward J.
Dear Walcott, I received my order today, and I am very pleased at the professional attention you paid to my order, and order updates. I can't say exactly when, but I can assure you that I will use you in the future for all my cb equipment needs. Also, I'm planning on telling my fellow cb friends on how professional, a job you done. Thanks again, Eddie Hair. A.K.A. Moonshine-568-S.C.-- Eddie H.
Thank you Walcott !!! I tried to contact three other "so called distributors", I left each one an e- mail 5 days ago. No answer as of this a.m.. I called on the same day and left follow up messages. Mind you I'm the customer, But I need a radio. Still no calls or e-mails. So this morning I said I' ll call the Walcott number. they are a little more expensive than the chumps I called but I need my radio. The number rang and expecting disappoint, I heard a polite "Hello, Walcott Radio, how my I help you". Well, I flipped. The man introduced himself as Lamont. To make a long story short. Every question was answered, and I had alot. I haven't used a CB in 30 years. The best part I have a real radio guy helping me. I can't wait to get my new radio. No body on the planet can sell me a radio but My Man Lamont. Lamont, thank you so much for your professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness. George D. Smith-- George S.
