Thank you Walcott !!! I tried to contact three other "so called distributors", I left each one an e- mail 5 days ago. No answer as of this a.m.. I called on the same day and left follow up messages. Mind you I'm the customer, But I need a radio. Still no calls or e-mails. So this morning I said I' ll call the Walcott number. they are a little more expensive than the chumps I called but I need my radio. The number rang and expecting disappoint, I heard a polite "Hello, Walcott Radio, how my I help you". Well, I flipped. The man introduced himself as Lamont. To make a long story short. Every question was answered, and I had alot. I haven't used a CB in 30 years. The best part I have a real radio guy helping me. I can't wait to get my new radio. Just wanted to thank you for your service on this order. I received the replacement slip seat box and speaker, and also the correct size slip seat box cover earlier this week, in two shipments. The cover was the correct size this time (I sent the smaller one back with the supplied ground label), but more importantly, the replacement slip seat box and speaker were received in beautiful condition; while the first slip seat box was shipped in just the manufacturer's box, with no additional shipping box or material, and the speaker rattling around inside it, the second shipment was packed with bubble material in addition to an exterior shipping carton. Had the original shipment been packed in the same manner the replacement was, I'm sure there would have been no damage whatsoever. UPS came on 4/27 and picked up the original carton with the damaged slip seat box and speaker enclosed. Again, thank you for taking a personal interest in this oder and for resolving it so efficiently. Dear Walcott CB, I just wanted to extend a big thank you for your services. I purchased a Galaxy echo mic and some RG8/U-95 coax and my friends tell me my radio never sounded better. Your techs did a nice job in wiring it for me. I would recommend the Galaxy mic to anyone who asks.
